Managing Outlook Rules

This article will show you how to manage your Outlook rules via 365 or the full client application.


Microsoft 365

For those using the web-based version of Outlook, follow the below steps to manage your rules.

  1. Navigate to Outlook 365

    1. Sign in if prompted using your Essex IT Account credentials

  2. Select the cog icon image-20240315-112404.png

    1. Top right of the screen

  3. Select Email

    1. Left-hand pane

  4. Select Rules

From here, you can add and remove rules, setting actions based on specific conditions.

Microsoft Outlook App

For those using the full version of Outlook, follow the below steps to manage your rules.

  1. Open the Outlook App

  2. Select File

    1. Top left of the window

  3. Select Manage Rules & Alerts

From here, you can add and remove rules, setting actions based on specific conditions.
