eduroam wifi with MacOS

This article will guide you through connecting to eduroam on MacOS.


Instructions

  1. From your desktop, click the WiFi Icon

    1. Top-right of the screen

For macOS Sonoma users, this will be a hamburger icon instead

  1. Make sure your WiFi is Enabled

  1. Select eduroam from the list of Available WiFi Networks

  1. Enter your University Email Address & Password

  2. Tick ‘Remember this network’

  3. Click Join

You should now be connected to eduroam WiFi


Troubleshooting

Using Sonoma MacOS?

You will need to completely remove eduroam if you have recently upgraded to Sonoma MacOS and previously connected to eduroam on your device.

  1. Click the Hamburger Icon

  2. In the WiFi Section, click on Wi-Fi Settings…

  1. Click on the three dots next to eduroam and click Forget This Network

  1. If prompted, click Remove

  2. Whilst in the “Settings Menu”, click Privacy & Security, checking there are no profiles for eduroam

    1. If there are, delete them by pressing the minus symbol

  1. Now you need to check the keychain and delete any eduroam entries

    1. Open “Keychain Access” by searching in Spotlight

  1. Search for eduroam entries and delete them

  1. If prompted, click Delete

  2. Restart your Mac

  3. Return to the top of this page and run through the instructions to re-connect to eduroam
