Connect to VPN in order to access People Manager within iTrent from off-campus

Log into iTrent (People Manager)

Instructions

👉 Step 1

In order to access People Manager (within iTrent) from off-campus you will need to either:

  1. use a University laptop which already has GlobalProtect VPN installed

  2. set up GlobalProtect VPN on your own PC/laptop

  3. remote-desktop (RDP) into a PC on campus

Please follow the guidance on this page under 'Off-campus access' to set up your VPN connection: https://www.essex.ac.uk/staff/managing-people/using-people-manager If you get stuck, please contact the IT Helpdesk for assistance.

👉 Step 2

If you are unable to access People Manager via VPN once you have set this up, it is likely because you are not part of the VPN access group. Please contact the Commercial Applications team who will be able to check this, and add you if needed.
