End sickness period in HR Organiser

Instructions

👉 Step 1

Follow this link (or copy & paste this URL into your browser): https://hrorganiser.essex.ac.uk/tlive_lss/ and log in with your University username and password

👉 Step 2

Looking at the ‘Home’ page (and the ‘Dashboard’ tab), scroll down to find the ‘Sickness’ box on the left hand side of the screen. Click on ‘View all sickness’ to see a record of time you have taken off work for sickness.

👉 Step 3

To end a sickness period, amend the start and end dates at the top of the page if needed to find the sickness period you are looking for. Click on the relevant sickness date and then complete the form. You will need to specify an Absence Reason from the dropdown, and then select the Sickness Period as detailed below. You may add notes if you wish, in the box at the bottom of the form. Click Save.

  • If you were only off sick for the afternoon on 1st June, you need to select:

    • Start date: 1st June

    • Full or part day: part day

    • End date: 1st June (note: this is the same as the start date)

    • Full or part day: full day (this will correctly record only the afternoon of 1st June as sickness)

  • If you were off sick for the whole day on 1st June, you need to select:

    • Start date: 1st June

    • Full or part day: full day

    • End date: 1st June (note: this is the same as the start date)

    • Full or part day: full day

  • If you were off sick for more than one day starting 1st June, you need to select:

    • Start date: 1st June

    • Full or part day: part day if only the afternoon, or full day if you had the whole day of 1st June off

    • End date: 5th June (this means you were off sick on 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th June, and back at work on 6th June)

    • Full or part day: full day

If you work part-time hours, “full day” will automatically record all the hours you were due to work that day (e.g. 4 hours), and “part day” will automatically record half of the hours you were due to work that day (e.g. 2 hours)
