This guide is intended to assist users in displaying content from one lectern across all four display panels in the linkable teaching centre rooms.

These rooms are: TC 2.6/2.7, TC 2.8/2.9, TC 2.12/13, TC 2.14/15

Instructions

  1. Locate the touch panel on the lectern you intend to use - It will be mounted in a metal housing on the top of the lectern.

  2. Tap it to wake it up, if it is blank.

  3. Shut down the system - this can be done by tapping the ‘main menu’ button in the top right of the touch panel, then selecting ‘Shut down’

  4. Confirm the shutdown by pressing ‘Yes’

  5. After a few moments, you will be able to re-start the system by tapping the touch screen again.

  6. It will ask if you want to link the rooms or not - select the option you want.

  7. Select a source as normal - this should now be displayed on all four panels.

Please be aware that some users will be expecting the room to be in this linked state. Leaving the space linked after your session is entirely acceptable.

Troubleshooting

  • No Video out to any screens? The selected source is likely not active, or set to display. Check the source is active.

  • PC sending a blank screen to the displays? The PC is likely not set to output - Press the windows key (Between Alt and Ctrl) and ‘P' at the same time - select 'extend’ from the menu that will appear on the lectern PC screen.

  • Video missing from one display? The screen itself may be off - or the system may have had a small hiccup - restart the system and re-link the panels. If this does not fix the issue, please call AVS on 3220.
