This article will guide you through setting up our GlobalProtect VPN on Android and iOS devices.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to either the Apple Store (iOS) or Play Store (Android) and search for ‘GlobalProtect’

  2. Install GlobalProtect on your device

  3. Once installed, open GlobalProtect VPN

  4. Check that Portal is set to byodportal.essex.ac.uk and then click Connect

  1. You may then be asked to sign in with your University IT Account
