Box expiry links

Introduction

By default, Box sets a time limit on how long a link will last until it becomes invalid and the file or folder is no longer accessible via the link provided. This can be changed when sharing out a file.

Box will send out emails warning you about expiring links.

Instructions

  1. Navigate to Box Online

    • Sign in if prompted

  2. Locate the File or Folder you wish to share

  3. Hover over the file or folder

  4. Click the Share Icon

  1. Click Link Settings

  1. Make sure the option “Disable shared link on” is unchecked

The link should no longer expire, meaning the file or folder will be accessible via the link indefinitely or when it’s deleted.
